Responsibilities

• Document and provide skilled nursing care to patients following the developed plan of care and physician orders.
• Prepare equipment and materials for treatments observing aseptic technique.
• Assist patients in learning appropriate self-care techniques and implement the nursing care plan for each patient.
• Observe signs and symptoms and report reactions to treatments to the physician and registered nurse.
• Evaluate the effectiveness of nursing service to the patient and family under the guidance of the registered nurse.
• Maintain and complete records of observations, treatments, and patient care.
• Participate in patient care conferences and accept and perform orders under the guidance of a registered nurse.
• Administer medications and treatments as ordered.
• Provide appropriate information about patients to other agencies/individuals involved in patient's care as needed.
• Perform other tasks as assigned.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an approved school of professional nursing and currently licensed in the state(s) in which practicing.
• Maintains a current CPR certification and BLS (Basic Life Support) Certification preferred.
• Pediatric experience preferred.
