Job Description

Marine Hydraulics International, LLC is currently seeking a detail-oriented Maritime Scheduler to join our team. The Scheduler will play a crucial role in preparing and updating production schedules for ship repair projects, ensuring smooth progress and efficient resource allocation.

Responsibilities

  • Develop detailed and integrated production schedules for ship repair projects.
  • Collaborate with various teams and subcontractors to ensure seamless integration of work into the production schedule.
  • Resource load production schedules based on work item estimates.
  • Update schedules to reflect contract changes and progress updates.
  • Analyze potential conflicts and errors in data, providing recommendations to prevent delays.
  • Prepare and deliver accurate schedule status reports on a weekly basis.
  • Participate in project meetings and contribute to critical path analysis.
  • Assist in creating 'what if' scenarios to explore alternate sequencing for project optimization.
  • Perform additional assignments as directed by management.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or Equivalent.
  • Minimum of two years of project planning and management experience or completion of Scheduler-In-Training requirements at MHI.
  • Previous experience in shipyard, industrial, or construction industry preferred.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills for effective collaboration.
  • Ability to make decisions in a fast-paced environment and excellent organizational skills.
  • Proficiency in scheduling software such as Primavera P6 or MS Project.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills with proficiency in Microsoft Products.

Working Conditions

This position is on-site in an office environment with occasional exposure to outdoor conditions. Duties involve sitting for long periods, occasional lifting, and potential climbing. Motor coordination, basic arithmetic skills, and effective communication are essential.

Compensation

Competitive yearly salary range: $58,000 - $74,000.
