Medical Technologist, Full-Time WEO Nights

Job Description

We are looking for a dedicated Medical Technologist to join our team at Johnson Regional Medical Center. This full-time position involves processing laboratory specimens and ensuring accurate reporting of results across various clinical laboratory areas. The ideal candidate will have a strong grasp of quality control practices, inventory management, and high-complexity testing procedures.

Responsibilities

• Perform high-complexity, moderate complexity, and waived testing in areas such as blood bank, chemistry, microbiology, and more.
• Lead and coordinate activities in assigned laboratory areas under supervision.
• Maintain accurate records, notify regarding critical lab values, and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
• Demonstrate proficiency in new technologies, maintain equipment, and promote a culture of safety and quality.

Requirements

• Bachelor of Science degree in Medical Technology, Chemistry, or Biology preferred.
• Associates degree in Medical Laboratory Technician with 2 years of clinical laboratory experience accepted.
• Certification in relevant field is preferred.
• Strong communication skills in English and basic computer knowledge required.
