Job Description
We are looking for a Shipping & Receiving Operator I to join our team at PHM Brands for the 2nd shift. As a Shipping & Receiving Operator I, you will play a vital role in handling, warehousing, shipping, and receiving materials at our Dawn, TX facility. You will be responsible for maintaining operational efficiency, organization, and cleanliness to ensure customer satisfaction.
Responsibilities
- Pull products from production lines and store or stage them in the warehouse.
- Load outbound customer orders onto van and bulk trailers.
- Unload inbound materials and products and store or stage them in the warehouse.
- Move trailers to different docking areas within the yard for loading.
- Maintain cleanliness in the warehouse, docks, vehicles, and workspaces.
- Perform daily inspections and minor maintenance on trucks and equipment.
- Manage paperwork for inbound and outbound loads, including creating certificates of analysis for shipments.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory and company safety standards.
- Assist in Organic Grains fulfillment and uphold quality shipping standards.
- Partake in training activities related to various shipping and receiving processes.
Qualifications
- High School Graduate or GED, industrial setting experience is a plus.
- Forklift operating skills (training provided).
- Completion of safety and fall protection training.
- Computer proficiency for documenting job tasks.
- Strong interpersonal skills, ability to multitask, and fluency in English.
- Self-motivated, capable of working independently.
- Flexible availability for evening, weekend, and shift work.
Working Conditions
- Physical requirements include lifting up to 50lbs, standing, walking on concrete floors, and exposure to varying temperatures.
- Operational hazards such as noise, dust, and working with manufacturing equipment.
- Possible 12-hour shifts and climatic challenges.
