Tire Design Engineer

Job Description

TOYO TIRE NORTH AMERICA MANUFACTURING INC. is seeking a Tire Design Engineer to join our innovative and dynamic team. As a Tire Design Engineer, you will play a crucial role in the tire manufacturing process, focusing on tire construction, testing, and overall performance optimization. Your responsibilities will include creating experimental tire building specifications, conducting controlled experimental builds, analyzing test tire sections, and coordinating production processes to ensure top-tier quality and performance levels.

Responsibilities

• Create and issue experimental tire building specifications.
• Conduct controlled experimental tire builds and coordinate confirmation testing.
• Analyze cured tire sections to ensure dimensional accuracy.
• Understand tire testing methods and failure modes.
• Verify production component accuracy and placement.
• Review factory processing of tires and analyze test tire sections.
• Coordinate project schedules, testing, and competitor analysis.
• Collaborate with Material Design Engineers for material evaluations.
• Write reports, present information in meetings, and maintain specifications.

Education and Experience

Engineering degree with one to two years of related experience, or equivalent combination of education and training.
