Yard Operations

Job Description

We are currently looking to hire a Yard Operations team member to join Bayview Building Materials in Vancouver, Washington. In this role, you will assist customers with yard material, handle the loading, unloading, and stocking of materials, and maintain a safe work environment in the lumber yard and warehouse. Responsibilities

• Greet and assist customers with loading materials safely and efficiently.
• Work collaboratively with the sales and yard team to ensure prompt customer service.
• Check materials for accuracy and quantity against purchase invoices.
• Operate forklifts and light trucks safely and efficiently after receiving proper training.
• Report any unsafe conditions, incidents, or accidents promptly.
• May be responsible for cutting materials for customers using specialized equipment.

Requirements

• Ability to meet the physical requirements of the job, including heavy lifting and prolonged standing.
• Previous experience of 1-3 months preferred.
• High school diploma or GED preferred but not required.
