Job Description
We are looking for a motivated Manager Infection Control to join our team at Kettering Health Network. In this role, you will serve as the Infection Control Officer (ICO), overseeing the implementation of effective procedures and policies to combat disease transmission among patients and staff. Responsibilities include conducting research, developing and monitoring infection control policies, educating hospital personnel, and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Serve as the Infection Control Officer, implementing infection control policies and procedures.
- Lead and support the facility's Infection Prevention and Control Teams.
- Ensure compliance with Federal and State regulatory requirements.
- Recommend, implement, and monitor infection control policies for hospital staff.
- Educate personnel on infection control guidelines and protocols.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in nursing or related healthcare field.
- Master's degree in nursing or related healthcare field preferred.
- Minimum of 1 year of supervisory/leadership experience.
- Certified in Infection Prevention and Control within 18 months of hire.
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
- Demonstrated ability to work under pressure and facilitate performance improvement.
Work Environment
- Travel to network facilities for rounds and projects.
- Fast-paced environment requiring multitasking and altered hours.
- Utilization of computer systems and participation in formal meetings.
- Support delivery of patient care through education and performance improvement measures.
