Job Description
Selects and receives incoming stock efficiently to fulfill orders from stores and relocates merchandise throughout the warehouse in line with guidelines. Sorts, organizes, and strategically loads merchandise in preparation for shipment while unloading incoming shipment from trucks. In addition, general cleaning duties, warehouse inventory counts, and effective cooperation and interaction with peers, suppliers, and leadership are also expected. Input to the warehouse management regarding process improvement, product quality, safety concerns, and sanitation issues is part of the role, along with participation in achieving budgeted goals and adherence to company policies and procedures.
Responsibilities
- Efficient selection and receiving of incoming stock to fulfill store orders
- Relocation of merchandise throughout the warehouse according to guidelines
- Strategic sorting, organizing, and loading of merchandise for shipment preparation
- Unloading incoming shipment from trucks
- Performing general cleaning duties to achieve warehouse appearance standards and safety requirements
- Participating in warehouse inventory counts
- Cooperation and effective interaction with peers, suppliers, and leadership through ongoing communication and exchange of information
- Providing input to warehouse management regarding process improvement, product quality, safety concerns, and sanitation issues
- Achieving budgeted goals
Requirements
- 18 years of age or older
- Conscientious and collaborative working style

- Drive for success, ability to organize and execute with efficiency
- Ability to interpret and apply company policies and procedures
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Basic arithmetic skills and attention to detail
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to perform basic arithmetic equations such as addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division
- Skills in operating powered industrial equipment
