Assistant Community Manager - Edgewater

Job Description

ROUNDHOUSE COMMUNITIES LLC, a dynamic real estate developer and manager, is looking to fill the position of Assistant Community Manager in Edgewater. This role involves supporting the Community Manager in various property management tasks, including leasing, rent collection, maintenance coordination, and resident relations. As part of the role, you will assist in ensuring that the community adheres to all relevant laws and regulations to provide a harmonious living environment for residents.

Responsibilities

• Assist in leasing apartments, processing applications, and preparing lease agreements.
• Respond to resident inquiries and complaints promptly and professionally.
• Coordinate maintenance requests and oversee timely completion of work orders.
• Manage move-ins and move-outs, conduct unit inspections, and prepare necessary documentation.
• Handle rent payments, deposits, and maintain accurate resident account records.
• Prepare financial reports, including occupancy and delinquency reports.
• Plan and execute resident events and activities.
• Maintain up-to-date resident and vendor files.
• Ensure compliance with Fair Housing laws and property management policies.
• Follow safety procedures and represent the company professionally.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent; college coursework in related fields preferred.
• Experience in bookkeeping, accounting, and sales preferred.
• Prior experience in multi-family housing and property management software is beneficial.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and excellent communication skills.
• Knowledge of relevant property management laws and regulations.
• Customer service-oriented with a passion for property management.
• Strong leadership qualities and interpersonal skills.
