Job Description
We are looking for a Bilingual Public Health Worker 3 with a focus on Clinical Preventive Services to join our team at Marion County Health and Human Services. As a part of our Public Health Division, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the health and social service needs of the community are met, particularly through community outreach and direct client interaction.
Responsibilities
- Provide culturally responsive services to monolingual Marshallese/Chuukese-speaking clients.
- Work with the TB team to deliver therapy medications, conduct interviews, and assist with TB screening.
- Assist in HIV outreach events, testing, and specimen collection.
- Flexibility to provide services outside traditional business hours.
- Serve as a backup for specimen packing and perform other assigned duties.
Requirements
- Associate degree in social sciences or related field with 2 years' experience in community health, or equivalent experience.
- Fluent bilingual Marshallese/Chuukese/English skills required.
- Valid driver's license and acceptable driving history.
- Ability to pass language fluency assessment and background checks.
- Strong communication, decision-making, and advocacy skills.
- Physical ability to lift weight, operate a motor vehicle, and work in varying conditions.
