Data Center Operations Technician I

We are looking for a Data Center Operations Technician I to join our team at Flexential. This role involves providing physical and Level II technical support, troubleshooting technical issues, following procedures, assisting with installations, and ensuring the smooth operation of our data center facilities. The ideal candidate will have a passion for customer service, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work in a fast-paced 24x7x365 environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide prompt resolution of facility and customer issues.
• Maintain professionalism and conduct while performing data center duties.
• Troubleshoot and document technical issues accurately.
• Follow company policies, processes, and procedures.
• Assist with physical and logical installations.
• Ensure cleanliness and security of the data center.
• Perform facilities rounds and escalate relevant information.
• Manage shipping/receiving and badge access security system.
• Support 24/7 operations and work any shift as needed.

Required Qualifications

• Passion for providing exceptional customer experiences.
• Proficiency in Windows and Microsoft Operating systems.
• Self-motivated with excellent communication skills.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines.
• Experience in IT support environment preferred.
• Relevant certifications such as Network +, Security +, CCNA, MCP, or MCSA a plus.

Preferred Qualifications

• Physical ability to climb ladders, lift heavy objects, and work in varied environments.
• Capability to install cabling and work with technical equipment.
