Job Description

The Data Center Operations Technician I at Flexential is a critical 24x7x365 position responsible for delivering physical and Level II technical support to customers. The role demands a solid grasp of Facilities infrastructure, Windows operating systems, PC troubleshooting, and management applications. It requires a professional demeanor and technical acumen to interact with customers and internal resources effectively.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide timely resolution and escalation of Facility and customer issues.
  • Maintain professionalism while performing data center duties.
  • Troubleshoot and document technical issues using the Flexential ticketing system.
  • Follow Flexential Support and Data Center policies and processes.
  • Assist with physical and logical installations of Flexential services.
  • Ensure Data Center and surrounding areas are clean and well-maintained.
  • Perform Facilities Rounds and escalate relevant information.
  • Manage inbound and outbound shipping/receiving.
  • Operate Badge Access Security System.
  • Support Critical Infrastructure Manager (CIM) when needed.
  • Maintain cabling and general item inventory levels.
  • Perform other assigned duties as required.

Required Qualifications

  • Passion for delivering outstanding customer experiences.
  • Proficiency in Windows and Microsoft Operating systems.
  • Self-starter and highly motivated.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and meeting deadlines.
  • 1 year of IT Support experience preferred.
  • Network +, Security +, or CCNA desired.
  • Microsoft MCP or MCSA certification preferred.

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to climb ladders and work at heights.
  • Able to work in cold environments and lift heavy objects.
  • Capable of using pallet jacks and installing cabling.

Hourly Pay Range

  • The estimated hourly pay range is $18.38 - $21.55, subject to experience and qualifications.
