Job Description

We are looking for a skilled Diesel Mechanic (Heavy Truck) to join River States Truck And Trailer. As a Diesel Mechanic, you will be responsible for diagnosing, troubleshooting, and repairing malfunctions on Class 6-8 vehicles. Our ideal candidate should demonstrate excellence in problem-solving, customer service, and teamwork, while maintaining a safe and organized work environment.

Responsibilities

  • Diagnose and repair vehicle malfunctions using appropriate tools and critical thinking skills.
  • Provide quality repairs with a high level of independence and accountability.

Requirements

  • Minimum 5-7 years' experience as a diesel technician on Class 6-8 vehicles.
  • Valid driver's license and willingness to pass background checks and drug screenings.
  • Necessary tools for job duties.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Excellent customer service and communication skills.
  • Ability to lift 50 pounds and work in a team-oriented environment.

Preferred

  • Class A CDL, technical degree, or relevant certifications.
  • Specialization in specific areas like engine, drive train, or brakes.
