Job Description
We are looking for a talented Field Solutions Engineer II to join Flexential, focusing on Hybrid/Cloud and Managed Services, and Large Retail Colocation. As a key member of our team, you will play a crucial role in pursuing new CMS deals, providing pre-sales technical expertise, and architecting complex web, application, database, virtualization, and networking solutions. You will be responsible for designing and presenting customized cloud and dedicated architectures that meet clients' needs.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and enable Regional Partners by showcasing Flexential's products and services.
- Architect Cloud and Managed Services solutions for new customers, including Colocation in Hybrid configurations.
- Support national sales teams with technical drawings, designs, and narratives for CMS Solutions.
- Stay updated on product offerings, industry trends, and technologies.
- Create comprehensive documentation for successful opportunities.
- Design and present complex CMS/Hybrid solutions to potential clients.
- Ask probing questions to uncover business drivers and formulate tailored solutions.
- Create quotes and pitch solutions based on Flexential's capabilities.
- Provide datacenter tours and post-sale support.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in IT or related field preferred.
- 6-9 years of relevant sales or consulting experience.
- Ability to design and communicate solutions to varied audiences.
Preferred Qualifications
- Technical proficiency with a track record of success in managed IT services.
- Detail-oriented, organized, and excellent communication skills.
- Strong knowledge of cloud platforms, operating systems, databases, and infrastructure components.
- Understanding of data center and IT security best practices.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to work in an office or remote environment.
- Extended computer use and after-hours networking.
- 50% travel required.
