Job Description

GEO Next Generation High School in Indianapolis is seeking a fully licensed and experienced High School Technology Teacher to join our innovative academic team. As a Technology Teacher, you will be responsible for instructing students on various aspects of technology, including computer programming, software development, and hardware maintenance. The role involves developing lesson plans, delivering lectures, assessing student progress, and integrating real-world applications into the curriculum.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement lesson plans aligned with the school's curriculum and educational standards.
  • Instruct students on programming, software development, hardware maintenance, and the mathematical and scientific principles behind computer operations.
  • Teach computer programming languages, algorithms, and web programming.
  • Create projects to reinforce learning and engage students.
  • Collaborate with colleagues and outside programs to enhance the teaching of technology.
  • Provide individual tutoring as needed to support student learning.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
  • Valid Indiana Initial Practitioner or Professional Educator license.
  • Proficiency in programming, software development, and hardware maintenance.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
