Highway Design Technician

Job Description

We are looking for a Highway Design Technician to join our Transportation team at Professional Engineering Consultants. In this role, you will play a vital part in supporting the design and production of transportation projects that contribute to the safety and quality of life of communities. Responsibilities

• Utilize CAD software to produce highway concept exhibits, working drawings, and final construction plans.
• Coordinate with Team Lead, Project Managers, and Engineers to complete drafting tasks efficiently.
• Organize, archive, and retrieve project information effectively to ensure project progress.
• Review project submittals for compliance with drafting standards.

Requirements

• Obtain or be pursuing a certificate or degree with CAD software training.
• Basic knowledge of CAD production software and Microstation/Bentley design products is advantageous.
• Ability to read and interpret plans accurately.
• Excellent time management skills to meet critical deadlines.
• Strong written and verbal communication abilities.
