Medical Technologist, Full-Time WEO Nights

Job Description

Johnson Regional Medical Center is looking for a full-time Medical Technologist to join our team. The Medical Technologist will be responsible for processing laboratory specimens, reporting results, and maintaining quality control practices in all areas of the clinical laboratory. As a key member of the team, the Medical Technologist will demonstrate competency in various laboratory areas and collaborate with different departments to ensure patient safety and quality care.

Responsibilities

• Perform high-complexity testing across different laboratory areas.
• Lead and supervise specific areas of the clinical laboratory.
• Maintain accurate laboratory records and adhere to quality control practices.
• Collaborate with other departments for patient care and performance improvement activities.

Requirements

• Bachelor of Science degree in Medical Technology, Chemistry, or Biology.
• Or Associates degree in Medical Laboratory Technician with 2 years of clinical laboratory experience.
• Certification preferred.
• Proficiency in communication and basic computer knowledge.

Additional Information

This position requires normal hospital environment work with the physical demands typical of a clinical laboratory setting. Knowledge of new testing methods, products, and equipment operation is essential. Applicants need to maintain current knowledge of regulatory requirements and demonstrate flexibility and organizational skills.
