Job Description

Marion County is seeking a compassionate and creative Mental Health Skills Trainer for Supported Employment. The vocational specialist will assist individuals with severe mental illness in finding and maintaining competitive jobs in the community. This role includes providing job development, career exploration, benefits planning, and vocational rehabilitation services.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver Supported Employment services following IPS standards and a person-centered approach.
  • Offer job coaching, guidance, and coordination, including job analysis, job matching, and support for job retention.
  • Conduct employment research, job development, and employer engagement activities.
  • Maintain accurate clinical documentation and meet performance expectations.

Requirements

  • Three years of relevant work experience in behavioral health services or a Bachelor's degree in a related field.
  • Possession of a QMHA certification within 90 days of hire.
  • Valid driver's license and acceptable driving history.
  • Knowledge of mental health concepts, community resources, and evidence-based skills training strategies.
