We have four (4) exciting Registered Nurse (RN) positions available at Meade District Hospital:

  1. Full Time Night Shift RN (7:00 pm to 7:00 am)
  2. Full Time Day Shift RN (7:00 am to 7:00 pm)
  3. Full Time Day Shift Float RN - Pre/Post Op and Med/Surg Floor
  4. Full Time Day Shift Float RN - Cardiac Rehab and Med/Surg Floor

We offer self-scheduling, 2 weekends per month, on-the-job training, and a $5,000 sign-on bonus.

Job Title: Registered Staff Nurse

Department: Nursing

Reports To: Chief Nursing Officer

Position Summary:

We are looking for a compassionate Registered Nurse to provide quality care focusing on patient and family well-being. Responsibilities include maintaining nursing standards, critical thinking, and supervisory duties.

Qualifications:

  • Graduate of an accredited nursing school with a current Kansas license
  • 30 CEUs every 2 years with ACLS and PALS certification
  • CPR review every 2 years

Responsibilities of Registered Nurse (RN):

  • Maintain departmental standards and patient care quality
  • Evaluate patient care outcomes and adjust processes as needed
  • Maintain accurate patient records
  • Supervise and assist nursing team members
  • Administer medications and provide patient care
  • Ensure patient safety and privacy
  • Act as a liaison between administration and healthcare providers
  • Plan and direct daily assignments based on patient needs
  • Perform assessments and reassessments
  • Attend required education and adhere to policies

This position involves OSHA risk category I exposure.

Cardiac Rehab Job Responsibilities:

  • Assess and assist patients in pain management
  • Follow equipment sterilization procedures
  • Communicate with physicians for patient care coordination
  • Maintain departmental procedures and standards

Pre/Post Op Job Responsibilities:

  • Prepare patients before and after surgery
  • Complete necessary forms and document care
  • Assess patient condition and report to nursing team
