Job Description

We are looking for a Research Technician Intern (Summer Intern) to join our team at The Conservation Fund. This part-time temporary internship involves assisting with pilot-scale anaerobic digestion experiments. If you are currently pursuing a diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Biology, Chemistry, Engineering, Environmental Science, or related disciplines, this opportunity is for you. The internship will run from approximately June 1 to August 15, 2024, with up to 20 hours per week commitment required.

Responsibilities

  • Load, operate, and collect data from a pilot-scale anaerobic digester.
  • Collect water samples for testing and assist in laboratory tasks.
  • Record and extract data using software tools like Microsoft Excel.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Currently enrolled in a relevant field of study.
  • Prior experience in a laboratory setting.
  • Interest in waste treatment technologies.
  • Proficiency in Office 365 applications.

Preferred Skills

  • Basic understanding of anaerobic digestion technology.
  • Knowledge of pumps, mixers, and basic plumbing.

Salary

The compensation for this internship ranges from $17.00 to $20.00 per hour, based on experience and qualifications.
