Application Engineer (Full-Stack)

Job Description

We are looking for an Application Engineer (Full-Stack) to join Discover Financial Services. As part of the Collections Value Stream, you will work on modernizing the Probate and Bankruptcy system, building scalable solutions for both customers and internal operations agents. This role offers the opportunity to be part of a highly innovative, collaborative team passionate about technology.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to product team deliverables using Java programming technology.
• Diagnose automation opportunities for efficiency in product delivery.
• Collaborate with business partners to understand requirements and deliver high-quality features.
• Lead technology communities at Discover and guide teams to achieve key results.

Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor's in Computer Science or related field.
• 3+ years of experience in Information Technology or Software Engineering.
• Technical proficiency rating of competent on the Dreyfus engineering scale for internal applicants.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with Spring Boot, Spring MVC, React, and Angular.
• Knowledge of Cloud Technology like AWS, Pivotal Cloud Foundry, and OpenShift.
• Expertise in CI/CD pipelines and automation mindset.
• Skills in Java, Spring, Kafka, Openshift, Jenkins, and more.
