1st Shift Full-Time Warehouse Associate

Job Description

ALDI is seeking a 1st Shift Full-Time Warehouse Associate to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for efficiently selecting and receiving incoming stock, relocating merchandise, sorting and loading merchandise for shipment, maintaining warehouse appearance standards, and participating in inventory counts. Additionally, you will collaborate and interact effectively with peers, suppliers, and warehouse leadership, and provide input to improve processes. You will also inspect product quality, safety concerns, and sanitation issues and assist warehouse management in achieving budgeted goals.

Responsibilities

• Select and receive incoming stock efficiently to effectively fulfill orders received from stores.
• Relocate merchandise throughout the warehouse according to product handling guidelines.
• Sort, organize, and load merchandise strategically in preparation for shipment and unload incoming shipments from trucks/back-hauls.
• Participate in taking warehouse inventory counts according to guidelines.
• Cooperate and interact effectively with peers, suppliers, and warehouse leadership.
• Provide input to warehouse management regarding changes to improve processes.
• Inspect product, consult with warehouse management regarding product quality, safety concerns, and sanitation issues.

Job Qualifications

• 18 years of age or older
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred
• Ability to interpret and apply company policies and procedures
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to work both independently and within a team environment

Physical Requirements

• Frequently required to lift and place product weighing up to 45 pounds on pallets at various heights
• Frequently move merchandise from warehouse stock and prepare product for store deliveries
• Frequently required to sit, stand, bend, reach, grip, push, pull, lift, carry, and walk throughout the warehouse
• Continuously work in varying temperatures, hot and cold (including outdoor temperatures and refrigerator/freezer environments)
• Ability to safely and properly operate powered industrial equipment
