Job Description
Aldi is looking for a 1st Shift Warehouse Package Handler to join the team. This Full-Time position requires working an average of 30-35 hours per week with a starting wage of $21.50 per hour. As a Warehouse Package Handler, you will have various responsibilities, including selecting and receiving incoming stock, relocating merchandise, sorting and loading merchandise, maintaining warehouse appearance standards, and participating in inventory counts. Additionally, you will collaborate with the warehouse management to identify and implement process improvements, inspect product quality and safety, and achieve budgeted goals. The ideal candidate should be 18 years or older, able to perform within Aldi Acts competencies, and possess excellent organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills. A high school diploma or equivalent is preferred. Physical requirements include the ability to lift and place products weighing up to 45 pounds, operate powered industrial equipment, and work in varying temperatures. Responsibilities
- Select and receive incoming stock efficiently to fulfill orders.
- Relocate merchandise throughout the warehouse according to product handling guidelines.
- Sort, organize, and load merchandise in preparation for shipment and unload incoming shipments.
- Participate in taking warehouse inventory counts according to guidelines.
- Inspect product quality, consult with the warehouse management regarding product safety concerns and sanitation issues.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Ability to interpret and apply company policies and procedures.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to perform basic arithmetic equations and follow instructions.
- Capability to work independently and within a team environment.
