Job Description: Director of Finance at Chaminade Resort

Chaminade Resort & Spa in Santa Cruz, California, is seeking a highly qualified Director of Finance to join our team. As a pivotal leadership role, you will oversee all financial aspects of our hotel operations and work closely with the Executive Team and department managers.

Responsibilities

• Effectively manage cash flow and communicate issues to management.
• Coordinate the completion of forecasts and budgets with Executive Team and department managers.
• Analyze financial data to assist management in maintaining financial objectives.
• Develop and implement financial strategies and policies for effective resource management.
• Ensure all balance sheet accounts are reconciled timely.
• Establish and audit internal financial controls.
• Prepare financial reports in accordance with company requirements.
• Conduct financial analysis to enhance revenue generation and cost control.
• Collaborate with department heads to implement cost-saving initiatives.
• Maintain relationships with external stakeholders.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.

Requirements

• 5+ years of finance experience, preferably in hospitality.
• Bachelor's or Graduate degree in Business Administration, Accounting, or Finance.
• MBA preferred.
• Strong financial leadership skills.
• Knowledge of financial principles, budgeting, and cost control.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
