Position Summary
The Dispatch Manager at Orepac Holding Company, under the direction of the Operations Manager, is responsible for overseeing daily operations and providing support to the branch's commercial and local delivery drivers. Ensuring timely and accurate deliveries to customers while fostering a culture of employee engagement and adherence to company values is essential for success in this role.
Responsibilities
- Manage and oversee delivery drivers, ensuring efficient and on-time deliveries.
- Coordinate driver schedules and equipment maintenance.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies.
- Communicate professionally with customers to resolve delivery issues.
- Develop and adjust delivery routes to meet operational goals.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- 3-5 years of relevant experience in transportation or logistics.
- Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Knowledge of DOT compliance and route optimization.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and operate delivery equipment.
