Job Description

We are looking for an Engineer II - Sensor Test and Evaluation to join the EarthScope Consortium team at our EPIC facility in Socorro, New Mexico. This role involves managing and implementing multiple field projects to provide technical support for geophysical instruments and networks. As an Engineer II, you will work on sites across the United States, polar latitudes, and internationally, collaborating with team members and other staff engineers. Your responsibilities will include identifying and proposing new geophysical technologies, assisting with training, contributing to project documentation, and ensuring compliance with organizational standards.

Responsibilities

  • Implement geophysical projects and support multiple projects.
  • Solve technical issues related to sensor hardware and data communication.
  • Assist in designing and testing new systems.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in engineering or related field.
  • 3+ years of experience with geophysical sensors or networks.
  • Proficiency in operating tools and learning technical skills.

Additional Information

  • Salary Range: $74,400 - $92,900 per year.
  • Travel: Up to 30%.
  • Employment Status: Full-Time, Exempt.
