Open Heart OR Nurse

Job Description

We are looking for a dedicated Open Heart OR Nurse to join ThedaCare, a progressive healthcare organization committed to reinventing health care. As an OR nurse, you will work in a fast-paced, technologically advanced environment, providing exceptional care to surgical patients in a team-based setting.

Responsibilities

• Work in a 1:1 nurse-to-patient ratio to advocate for and care for patients in surgeries ranging from Robotics to Cancer care.
• Participate in life-changing care procedures and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team.
• Maintain a variable schedule with on-call requirements to ensure patient needs are met.

Qualifications

• Current Wisconsin RN Licensure.
• Bachelor's of Science in Nursing (BSN) or Associates Degree in Nursing with a commitment to obtaining the BSN within five years.
• American Heart Association Healthcare Provider Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.

Physical Demands

• Ability to move freely and lift up to 50 pounds without assistance.
• Exposure to bloodborne pathogens while performing job duties.
• Manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination for patient care procedures.
