Registered Nurse - Float Pool 3

Job Description

We are looking for a dedicated Registered Nurse to join our Float Pool 3 team at ThedaCare. As a Float Pool Clinical Nurse, you will provide top-notch, evidence-based nursing care across various settings through a collaborative approach. Your responsibilities will include assessing patients' needs, developing care plans, and ensuring high-quality clinical outcomes while upholding ThedaCare's standards of care.

Key Responsibilities:

• Utilize the nursing process and evidence-based practice to assess patients' needs and develop care plans.
• Collaborate with the interprofessional team to deliver top-quality care and clinical outcomes.
• Demonstrate clinical expertise in your assigned specialty, ensuring age-appropriate and culturally specific care.
• Identify opportunities to enhance the patient experience, streamline care processes, and improve quality.
• Maintain positive relationships with team members, physicians, and other healthcare professionals.
• Proactively manage risks and handle emergencies efficiently.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor of Science degree in Nursing (BSN) or commitment to obtaining within five years of hire.
• Two years of experience as a Registered Nurse in an acute care hospital setting.
• Experience with Float Pool and/or Resource teams in healthcare settings.
• Current Wisconsin RN or compact nursing licensure.
• American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certifications.

Physical Demands:

• Ability to move freely and lift up to fifty pounds without assistance.
• Potential exposure to blood borne pathogens and other job-related risks.

Work Environment:

• Frequent exposure to sharp objects and instruments.
• Occasional exposure to various environmental hazards.
• Possible exposure to communicable diseases and hazardous materials.
• Use of computers throughout the workday.
