Senior Hardware Development Engineer - AWS Server Engineering

Amazon Data Services, Inc. is seeking a full-time Senior Hardware Development Engineer to join the AWS Hardware Engineering team. As a member of the team, you will have the opportunity to work on cutting-edge technologies, influence industry standards, and develop innovative server solutions to enhance customer experience and operational excellence.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the design and development of server products in collaboration with design and manufacturing partners.
  • Architect solutions based on customer technical needs and business goals, ensuring scalability and performance.
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to deliver high-quality server products to data centers.
  • Oversee the quality and performance of developed servers post-launch.

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical/Computer Engineering or equivalent.
  • Minimum 10 years of hardware development experience in system/server architecture and design.
  • Experience in design and manufacturing processes, including leading ODMs and suppliers.
  • Expertise in server technologies such as Thermal/Mechanical design and high-speed bus design.
  • Strong written and oral communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related field.
  • Experience in project management and interdisciplinary product design.
  • Startup experience and server validation expertise.
  • Experience with deploying hardware across large data centers.
