D&S Community Services, a part of the Sevita family, provides community-based services for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities. As a Direct Support Lead, you will play a critical role in expanding access to services and developing new and effective ways of delivering supports and services to individuals with a range of disabilities. Your efforts will help create meaningful relationships and motivate the entire team every day.

Responsibilities

  • Facilitate the implementation of Individual Service Plans (ISP) and participate in administrative duties such as staff hiring, training, scheduling, and oversight.
  • Supervise a team of Caregivers supporting individuals in the program.
  • Provide support to individuals, including assistance with daily activities, medication administration, and personal care.
  • Facilitate community involvement by accompanying individuals on outings or providing transportation to work or other activities.

Requirements

  • High School diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • Six months of experience in human services preferred.
  • Valid driver's license and vehicle insurance required if providing transportation for individuals receiving services.
  • All state-required training and certification completed within mandated timeframes.
