Job Description
We are looking for a dedicated Director of Life Claims and Investigations to join our team at USAA, a company with a strong commitment to the financial security of U.S. military members and their families. In this role, you will oversee Life, Annuity & Health claims and fraud investigation programs, managing the Life Special Investigation Unit staff and ensuring operational excellence.
Responsibilities
- Provide guidance and leadership to staff in interpreting procedures and overseeing decisions within the claims process.
- Develop and implement Claims Security strategic plans, identify fraud trends, and drive process improvements.
- Establish and maintain relationships with industry, law enforcement, and other key stakeholders.
- Manage hiring, employee development, and all management functions within the department.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience with a minimum of 8 years in relevant business, including 3 years of Claims and/or Insurance Fraud experience.
- Minimum of 3 years of direct team lead or management experience.
- Preferred qualifications include US military experience, extensive Life Insurance and/or annuity claims experience, and a proven track record in operational delivery.
Compensation and Benefits
- Salary range: $109,130 - $202,500, based on experience and location.
