Job Description

APM is seeking a Mental Health Professional for the Violence Intervention Project to join our Community Services team in Philadelphia, PA. The selected candidate will provide therapy to program participants and engage with individuals at risk of perpetuating violence. This role involves developing and implementing therapeutic treatment plans, conducting individual and group therapy sessions, and ensuring compliance with clinical documentation standards.

Responsibilities

  • Provide community engagement and outreach in collaboration with the Violence Intervention team.
  • Offer CBT and PE therapeutic services to individuals and families based on assessed needs.
  • Facilitate Evidence Based Parenting programs for age-appropriate groups.
  • Coordinate ancillary resources by advocating and linking individuals with support services.
  • Maintain accurate clinical documentation, including assessments, progress notes, and treatment plans.
  • Participate in required training, meetings, and clinical supervision for professional development.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure continuity of care and compliance with treatment plans.
  • Enforce program rules and regulations and make referrals to appropriate levels of care as needed.
  • Maintain strong relationships with community stakeholders and agencies for holistic support.

Requirements

  • Master's Degree in a clinical mental health discipline (e.g., psychology, counseling, clinical social work).
  • Bilingual proficiency (English/Spanish) is a plus.
  • Experience in psychotherapeutic interventions and group facilitation.
  • Knowledge of DAP documentation, Microsoft Word, and EHR systems.
  • Training in evidenced based practices and Trauma is desirable.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills.
  • Compliance with regulatory requirements and CBH-recognized Evidence Based Practices.
