Job Description
We are looking for a dedicated Radiology Technologist to join our team at Corewell Health. As a full-time Radiology Technologist, you will be responsible for performing accurate and efficient diagnostic exams in various areas of general radiology. The ideal candidate will demonstrate excellent clinical skills, follow radiation protection principles, and ensure the best possible images for accurate interpretation. This role plays a vital part in upholding Corewell Health's commitment to Patient and Family Centered Care.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform quality diagnostic exams after verifying patient identification and physician order.
- Acquire accurate patient history and document in the medical record.
- Monitor patients during procedures to ensure safety.
- Utilize age-appropriate methods for patient care procedures.
- Effectively communicate with various departments and individuals.
- Operate diagnostic imaging equipment proficiently and follow policies.
- Provide procedural information and education to patients and families.
- Contribute to department operations and quality assurance.
Qualifications:
- Graduate of JRCERT Accredited Radiography program.
- Must be registered with ARRT within 6 months of hire.
- Basic Life Support Certification for Healthcare Providers.
Working Conditions:
- Requires physical effort and ability to perform various tasks.
- Exposure to ionizing radiation and other hazardous materials.
