Job Summary:

The Certified Pathologists' Assistant is responsible for the routine daily specimen grossing workload and assisting with specialized tests to determine diagnoses under the supervision of the Pathologist.

Responsibilities:

• Assure appropriate specimen accessioning.
• Perform specimen dissections and prepare tissues for histologic processing.
• Coordinate additional analytical procedures.
• Conduct autopsies and preliminary diagnoses.
• Ensure compliance with regulations and hospital policies.

Qualifications:

• Education: Bachelor's degree in science.
• Certifications: ASCP Certification, Certified Pathology Assistant.
• Experience: 1-2 years of Pathology Assistant experience preferred.
• Skills: Strong attention to detail, interpersonal skills, and knowledge of test procedures and equipment.
