Job Description
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Complex Director of Finance to lead our financial operations at the Sentinel Hotel & Dossier Hotel in downtown Portland, Oregon. As a key member of our team, you will oversee all financial aspects, ensuring the highest standards of integrity and performance.
Responsibilities
- Effectively manage cash flow and communicate related issues to management and ownership.
- Coordinate forecasts and budgets with the Executive Team and department managers.
- Analyze financial data to advise management on maintaining financial objectives.
- Ensure timely reconciliation of balance sheet accounts.
- Develop and implement financial strategies, policies, and procedures for effective resource management.
- Establish internal financial controls, including purchasing, cash handling, and payroll.
- Prepare financial reports, perform analysis, and provide insights on revenue generation and cost control.
- Collaborate with department heads on cost-saving initiatives without compromising quality.
- Maintain relationships with external stakeholders and ensure regulatory compliance.
Requirements
- 5+ years of progressive finance or accounting experience, preferably in hospitality.
- Bachelor's or Graduate degree in Business Administration, Accounting, or Finance.
- Strong understanding of financial principles, budgeting, forecasting, and cost control.
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, and leadership skills.
- Proven track record in financial leadership and strategic decision-making.
