Job Description

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Complex Director of Finance to lead our financial operations at the Sentinel Hotel & Dossier Hotel in downtown Portland, Oregon. As a key member of our team, you will oversee all financial aspects, ensuring the highest standards of integrity and performance.

Responsibilities

  • Effectively manage cash flow and communicate related issues to management and ownership.
  • Coordinate forecasts and budgets with the Executive Team and department managers.
  • Analyze financial data to advise management on maintaining financial objectives.
  • Ensure timely reconciliation of balance sheet accounts.
  • Develop and implement financial strategies, policies, and procedures for effective resource management.
  • Establish internal financial controls, including purchasing, cash handling, and payroll.
  • Prepare financial reports, perform analysis, and provide insights on revenue generation and cost control.
  • Collaborate with department heads on cost-saving initiatives without compromising quality.
  • Maintain relationships with external stakeholders and ensure regulatory compliance.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of progressive finance or accounting experience, preferably in hospitality.
  • Bachelor's or Graduate degree in Business Administration, Accounting, or Finance.
  • Strong understanding of financial principles, budgeting, forecasting, and cost control.
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, and leadership skills.
  • Proven track record in financial leadership and strategic decision-making.
