The Department of Accounting at Iowa State University's Debbie and Jerry Ivy College of Business is in search of a dynamic leader to serve as the Department Chair. The chosen candidate will lead a team of 13 tenure-track and 9 term faculty members supporting 464 undergraduate and 38 graduate students. This individual will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of the department to uphold the highest standards of scholarship, teaching, and engagement with the industry.

Responsibilities

• Build on the department's strong scholarly foundation by fostering research, teaching, and industry connections.
• Foster a collaborative and inclusive environment within the department.
• Oversee faculty recruitment, advancement, and personnel management.
• Manage departmental governance, curriculum, assessment, and accreditation processes.

Requirements

• Doctoral degree in accounting or related field from an accredited institution.
• Proven record of high-quality scholarship and qualification for tenured appointment.
• Experience in strategic planning, faculty mentoring, and curriculum development.
• Familiarity with AACSB accreditation standards and trends in accounting education.
