Director of Accounting

Job Description

We are looking for a dynamic and experienced Director of Accounting to oversee the general ledger and accounting operations at our company, Hercules Poly, Inc. As a key member of our team, you will analyze financial information, ensure compliance with internal controls, and provide valuable financial insights to company leaders.

Responsibilities

• Lead the general accounting function and financial reporting to the CFO.
• Supervise accounting teams across multiple locations, including training and problem resolution.
• Establish and maintain financial policies and internal controls.
• Prepare and oversee month-end, quarterly, and year-end close processes.
• Assist in internal and external financial statement preparation.
• Manage regulatory reporting and audits with external accountants.
• Provide financial insights for decision-making, especially related to cash flow.
• Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and KPI monitoring.
• Continuously assess and improve accounting procedures.
• Conduct financial investigations as necessary.
• Other duties as assigned by the CFO.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in accounting or related field.
• 5-7 years of relevant accounting supervisory/management experience.
• ERP software experience, NetSuite (Oracle) knowledge preferred.
• Proficiency in accounting principles, Microsoft Office Suite, and key competencies.
• Approximately 10% travel required.
• Successful completion of a criminal background check and drug screening.
