Logistics Specialist

Job Description

We are looking for a talented Logistics Specialist to join our Supply Chain Team at The Town Dock, a market leader in foodservice calamari. As a Logistics Specialist, you will be responsible for managing all third-party domestic logistics movements, distribution, and storage transactions to ensure the efficient delivery of fresh and frozen orders to customers while maximizing cost efficiency.

Responsibilities

• Own the customer-facing domestic logistics process.
• Collaborate with outside storage facilities, complete necessary paperwork, and provide documentation for deliveries.
• Collect and enter data into Excel and Sharepoint Inventory Reports.
• Build relationships with carriers and vendors to optimize freight costs and transportation.
• Work closely with internal teams to meet customer requests and time constraints.
• Track and correct shipping errors and costs, and provide Proof of Deliveries (PODs) when requested.
• Manage outbound shipments to domestic markets and report on Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree or relevant work experience in logistics or supply chain.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in domestic logistics.
• Strong attention to detail and excellent time management skills.
• Effective communication skills and customer service mindset.
• Ability to work well under pressure and collaborate cross-functionally.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.

Compensation

$26-$28 per hour
