Maintenance Technician

Job Description

Walla Walla Foundry is seeking a Part-Time Janitorial Maintenance Technician to perform general custodial duties and scheduled maintenance tasks in an industrial setting. This role involves cleaning, disinfecting, replenishing supplies, operating forklifts, and ensuring overall cleanliness and safety. Responsibilities

• Dust, sweep, mop, and vacuum assigned industrial areas/floor space.
• Clean and disinfect toilets, sinks, fixtures, and cabinets.
• Replenish supplies and empty trash/recycle containers.
• Operate forklifts to move materials and clear debris.
• Check and maintain janitorial product inventory.
• Lock and secure buildings as needed.
• Communicate maintenance needs effectively.
• Other assigned duties.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• 1+ years of janitorial, custodial, or maintenance experience.
• Ability to perform physically demanding tasks.
• Comfortable with technology and communication tools.
• Reliable, trustworthy, and safety-conscious.
• Experience operating forklifts preferred.
• Capacity to work independently and follow instructions.
• Prior hazardous waste handling experience a plus.

Physical Requirements

Must be able to push/pull, lift, carry, stand, bend, twist, and engage in repetitive motions. Environmental conditions may include loud, dusty, or smoky settings. Personal protective equipment is required.
