Safety Officer-SPR

Job Description

We are looking for a dedicated Safety Officer to join Career Systems Development Corporation. In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining a safe and secure environment for students and staff by implementing a comprehensive safety plan following Job Corps regulations, OSHA Standards, and company policies.

Responsibilities

• Create and sustain positive working relationships with co-workers.
• Develop, implement, and maintain Center Safety Plans to ensure the safety of students and staff.
• Conduct inspections of facilities and equipment, provide training on fire and safety aspects, and analyze injuries and near misses.
• Coordinate Emergency Drills, attend safety meetings, and ensure compliance with OSHA and health regulations.
• Design and implement orientation programs and training on safety matters for staff and students.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• 1 year of broad-based civilian, military security, or fire prevention and safety experience.
• Knowledge of OSHA requirements, standard security, and fire prevention procedures.
• Valid State driver's license, CPR/FA Certification, and excellent communication skills.
