Summary:

As a Press Operator Setup Technician, you will be responsible for setting up and operating punch press machines to produce metal parts according to specifications. Your primary duties will include preparing tooling, loading materials, adjusting machine settings, and ensuring the efficient and safe operation of the punch press.

Key Responsibilities:

• Machine Setup: Set up punch press machines according to job specifications.
• Material Handling: Load metal sheets or coils onto the machine.
• Quality Control: Monitor production output to ensure parts meet quality standards.
• Machine Operation: Operate punch press machines efficiently and safely.
• Maintenance: Perform routine maintenance tasks on punch press machines.
• Troubleshooting: Identify and troubleshoot machine malfunctions or production issues.
• Safety Compliance: Adhere to all safety protocols and procedures.
• Record Keeping: Maintain accurate production records.
• Continuous Improvement: Suggest and implement process improvements.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent; technical/vocational training preferred.
• Proven experience in punch press setup and operation.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.
• Proficiency in using precision measuring instruments.
• Knowledge of safety protocols and regulations.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• Flexibility to work shifts and overtime.

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to lift and carry heavy objects (up to 50 pounds).
