Used Service Technician

Job Description

Rudd Equipment Company is looking for motivated Service Technicians to join our team. As a Service Technician, you will diagnose and perform repairs on heavy equipment in both shop and field settings. You will work on various systems including mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic components while ensuring adherence to safety regulations.

Responsibilities

• Participate in safety programs and work in a safe manner.
• Inspect, diagnose, and troubleshoot mechanical deficiencies on heavy equipment.
• Perform repairs on mobile equipment in the field without supervision.
• Weld, fabricate, and modify parts and equipment as needed.
• Repair and/or replace engine hydraulic systems, air conditioning systems, and other components.
• Ensure all work meets quality standards and safety procedures.

Qualifications

• Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
• Ability to repair hydraulic, electrical, and drive-train systems.
• Experience in welding and fabrication.
• Knowledge of equipment operation and technical schematics.

Education and Experience

• High School diploma or GED required.
• Technical school graduate preferred.
• Experience with Volvo construction equipment and paving equipment a plus.

Physical Demands

The Service Technician will need to lift heavy equipment and work in various weather conditions.

Work Hours

Full-time position with variable work hours and occasional overtime.
