Job Description

Bmore Technology is seeking a detail-oriented Accounting Assistant for a part-time position. The Accounting Assistant will support the management team by performing clerical and administrative tasks to maintain accurate financial operations. This role requires approximately 16 hours per week.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Accounts Payable and Receivable: Process invoices and track payments.
  • General Ledger Maintenance: Post journal entries and reconcile accounts.
  • Data Entry and Documentation: Enter financial transactions, verify data accuracy, and prepare reports.
  • Bank and Cash Management: Reconcile bank statements and monitor transactions.
  • Expense Management: Review employee expense reports and process reimbursements.
  • Financial Analysis Support: Assist with budget preparation and financial reporting.
  • Record Keeping and Filing: Maintain organized financial records.
  • Audit and Compliance Support: Assist with audits and ensure compliance with accounting principles.
  • Sales and Use Tax: Review and submit sales tax payments.
  • Vendor License Reconciliation: Update licenses and reconcile vendor invoices.

Requirements

  • Basic understanding of bookkeeping practices.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and QuickBooks Online.
  • Ability to work independently and maintain confidential information.
  • Associate degree in accounting or related field preferred.
  • Minimum 3 years of related experience required.
