Application Engineer (Full-Stack)

Job Description

We are looking for an Application Engineer (Full-Stack) to join Discover Financial Services, one of the world's leading digital banking and payments companies. As a Full Stack Engineer, you will be responsible for building and releasing reliable software systems at scale, collaborating with various teams to develop and maintain full stack solutions that meet business needs. Your role involves analyzing, designing, programming, testing, and deploying new features with high quality standards. Additionally, you will provide guidance, remediate issues, lead technology communities, and contribute to the ongoing success of discover.

Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field.
• 3+ years of experience in Information Technology, Software Engineering, or related field.
• Internal applicants require a technical proficiency rating of competent on the Dreyfus engineering scale.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in full stack Java development.
• Proficiency in Java Spring Boot, Rest API, React.
• Strong skills in unit testing and test automation.
• Exposure to OCP, AWS, or other Cloud technologies.
• Background in collaborative development environments.
