Job Description
Region V Services is seeking dedicated full-time Direct Support Professionals (DSP) to provide training and support for individuals with disabilities in homes and community settings. As a DSP, you will help individuals achieve personal goals, enhance their competencies, and foster community relationships. This position offers flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, with the opportunity for overtime. Responsibilities
- Provide structured training and custom supports based on individual needs and goals.
- Collaborate in team meetings to ensure personalized training plans.
- Work with individuals and families to identify and achieve desired outcomes.
- Develop training programs, maintain records, and monitor progress.
- Act as a positive role model and trainer, promoting personal growth and social skills.
- Ensure safety, nutrition, medication administration, and community access support.
- Attend training sessions to enhance job performance and job-related skills.
Requirements
- High school diploma, GED, or equivalent.
- Preferably one year of experience in human services.
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
- Ability to work with individuals with special needs and follow instructions.
Special Requirements
- Must pass criminal background check and drug/alcohol screening.
- Ability to meet the physical demands of the job, including lifting.
Compensation
$15.15 - $16.24 per hour
