Job Description

We are currently looking for an Electrical Engineer to join our team at Doppelmayr USA Inc in Salt Lake City, Utah. The ideal candidate will be responsible for developing electrical control system schematics, specifying power distributions, electric motors, VFDs, and related components for aerial ropeways. This role requires maintaining professionalism while collaborating with customers, authorities, and international colleagues. The successful candidate should be enthusiastic about their work, willing to put in extra hours, and take pride in delivering high-quality results.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Ensure compliance of control circuits with relevant codes and standards
  • Provide support to the Customer Service department for troubleshooting
  • Establish communication channels with key personnel in other offices for consistent design
  • Meet company and department quality objectives
  • Perform electrical project engineering activities
  • Other tasks as required

Required Skills

  • Clear understanding of PLC and relay logic control systems
  • Proficiency in AC and DC power, control circuitry, and electrical diagrams
  • Knowledge of PLC and HMI integration
  • Familiarity with power distribution systems
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Willingness to travel and work at heights in mountainous environments

Preferred Skills

  • Experience with hydraulic system controls and fiberoptic cabling
  • Ability to perform safety analysis of complex control circuits
  • Leadership and management abilities

Education

  • Required: BSEE or equivalent discipline with proven competency in electrical engineering
  • Preferred: EIT Certification, Manufacturer's Training in automation and drive systems

Experience

  • 0-5 years, preferably in control systems engineering

  • Flexible schedule and ability to work under pressure
  • Full-time, in-office position reporting to the team lead
