Job Description
At Hood Container Corporation, we are seeking a General Manager to oversee our Houston, Texas Corrugator Plant . As a General Manager, you will play a key role in managing a team of 180+ employees and will be responsible for the day-to-day operations as well as strategic planning to achieve short- and long-term goals.
How You Will Contribute:
- Model and advance our Guiding Principles & Leadership Characteristics amongst the team.
- Lead entire operation of the plant including various key functions.
- Establish and manage the plant budget to drive volume and profitability.
- Implement continuous improvement plans aligned with organizational vision.
- Support local leadership to enhance plant efficiency.
- Ensure safety is a top priority and enhance safety protocols.
- Collaborate with business unit leaders to drive improvements.
- Oversee all capital projects and maintain customer relationships.
What it Takes:
- Bachelor’s degree in business, engineering, or related field.
- Ten (10) years of management experience, preferably in agriculture or wax products.
- Strong financial management and budgeting skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Adaptability and flexibility in an ambiguous environment.
