Job Description
The University of Vermont Medical Center is seeking dedicated Licensed Nurse Assistants (LNA) to join the team at Shep 3 North, a new long-term care unit scheduled to open in March 2024. As an LNA, you will play a vital role in providing direct and indirect patient care under the supervision of a Registered Nurse. This is an excellent opportunity to work in a compassionate and collaborative environment, caring for patients with various diagnoses.
Responsibilities
- Take vital signs and respond to call lights.
- Document patient information in the Electronic Medical Record system.
- Assist with personal care such as bathing, mouth care, toileting, and skin care.
- Demonstrate reliability, flexibility, compassion, and empathy in patient care.
- Work as part of a team to deliver the highest standard of care.
- Show excellent time management skills in a fast-paced inpatient setting.
Requirements
- LNA licensure in the State of Vermont.
- Previous experience in Long Term Care is preferred.
