Job Description
GENESYS Health Alliance is seeking a full-time Licensed Practical Nurse to join our team at Anderson County Detention Center in Anderson, SC. As a Correctional Nurse, you will provide care and treatment to detainees, administering medical care for acute and chronic illnesses. In this role, you will work in a challenging yet rewarding environment, taking care of the underserved population.
Responsibilities
- Provide patient treatments and monitor vital signs.
- Administer medications as prescribed and document all administrations.
- Carry out nursing care plans under medical direction.
- Screen and educate individuals upon admission to the correctional facility.
Requirements
- Graduation from a nationally accredited LPN program.
- Current LPN licensure and Basic Life Support certification.
- Ability to work night shifts from 7:30 pm to 7:00 am.
- Previous correctional nursing experience preferred.
