Job Description

We are looking for a skilled Maritime Scheduler to join Marine Hydraulics International, LLC. As a Scheduler, you will play a crucial role in preparing and maintaining detailed production schedules that are fully integrated and resource-loaded. Your responsibilities will include updating ship repair schedules as per contract changes, progress, and reporting requirements.

Responsibilities

  • Review standard Work Items and reference drawings to establish a logical Work Breakdown Structure for schedule development.
  • Collaborate with Program Managers, Project Managers, internal trades, subcontractors, and government entities to integrate work into an Integrated Production Schedule.
  • Resource load production schedule based on Work Item estimates.
  • Update schedules to reflect contract changes and progress updates.
  • Analyze data to identify errors and conflicts, recommending resolutions to prevent project delays.
  • Prepare weekly schedule status reports in compliance with company procedures and contract requirements.
  • Participate in project meetings and assist in Critical Path and Controlling Work analysis.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or Equivalent.
  • Two years of project planning and management experience or completion of Scheduler-In-Training requirements at MHI.
  • Prior experience in shipyard, industrial, or construction industry preferred.
  • Strong communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to make decisions in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Proficiency in Primavera P6 or equivalent scheduling software.

Working Conditions

This position is office-based with occasional exposure to outdoor conditions. The role involves sitting for long periods, occasional lifting, and motor coordination skills. The ability to use Microsoft Products and scheduling software efficiently is essential.
